Real Time Localization System : the proof by Zigbe
Within the framework of an experimentation for the French Navy, showed the assets of technology to locate crew members on a frigate of the Lafayette type.
To make safe the crew assigned to safety, the French navy asked the Orfidée company to validate Zigbee technology to locate crew members on several levels in the engine room, a place particularly confined.
Carried on the arm of sailors, discrete Zigbee cases communicate with Zigbee routers fixed at the walls of the boat. Orfidée rested on its partner to provide the software of cartography.
In addition to the real time localization, the technological challenge consisted in adapting to the metal environment of the boat while ensuring the feedback wirelessly in a central room located at several levels and some watertight doors of the engine room.
The methodology and the development of specific algorithms showed that the solution could be easily adapted to various environments, in only a few stages.

Marking real-time: RFID proves the value.
According to a study of Aberdeen Group, Compliance and Traceability in Real-Time: (Accelerating the Speed of Business), firms using solutions RFID deliver 98 % of their deliveries in the suit and at the right time, compared with the 81 % classical firms. Furthermore the marking of the product thanks to this technology is made in most in 2,5 hours against 34 hours of response time for classical solutions (code-bar, notably). Finally, firms fabricate their products in 99 % in perfect compliance with their process, figure brought back to 86 % for the more traditional firms.
